The goal was to raise awareness about the barriers faced by students with disabilities, particularly those affecting their academic journey and mental well-being.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through the presentation of our new board game initiative, AQEIPS offered a playful and educational approach to illustrating systemic barriers (administrative delays, lack of accommodations,&nbsp;additional&nbsp;costs, discrimination, etc.) that can&nbsp;impact&nbsp;student&nbsp;success.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This activity helped&nbsp;illustrate&nbsp;and communicate these issues, encouraged&nbsp;exchanges with&nbsp;participants,&nbsp;and sparked&nbsp;collective reflection on ways to improve accessibility and inclusion in post-secondary education.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pictured: a prototype of the board game presented at our booth on March 24, showing explanatory cards as well as a few bonus cards (service dog, hearing aid) and a section of the game board featuring an event space (exam) and a question space. The event gives associations and organizations a chance to meet, discuss our activities, and catch up with one another. The team also took the opportunity to raise awareness among visitors about issues related to accessibility and the participation of students with disabilities in post-secondary and community settings.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pictured: The new AQEIPS banner!
