{"id":5453,"date":"2024-12-09T13:15:12","date_gmt":"2024-12-09T18:15:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aqeips.org\/?p=5453"},"modified":"2024-12-09T13:26:37","modified_gmt":"2024-12-09T18:26:37","slug":"5-years-of-lineei-psh","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aqeips.org\/en\/5-years-of-lineei-psh\/","title":{"rendered":"5 years of l&#8217;IN\u00c9\u00c9I-PSH"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\"><div class=\"wp-bootstrap-blocks-container container mb-2\">\r\n\t\n\n<p>On Tuesday, December 3rd, 2024, the <a href=\"https:\/\/ineeipsh.org\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Institut national pour l&#8217;\u00e9quit\u00e9, l&#8217;\u00e9galit\u00e9 et l&#8217;inclusion des personnes en situation de handicap (IN\u00c9I-PSH)<\/strong><\/a> celebrated their five-year anniversary, and what better idea than to celebrate on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities! The evening was a celebration of the IN\u00c9\u00c9I-PSH\u2019s history, which included touching testimonials of the Institute&#8217;s successes and a look back at the work that has been accomplished since its founding. The evening concluded with two artistic performances, including a show by the choir <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rambrou.ca\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>La Gang \u00e0 Rambrou<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\"><strong>5 years of hard work and projects&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The IN\u00c9\u00c9I-PSH story began in November 2018 with Selma Kouidri, co-founder and executive director and H\u00e9l\u00e8ne L\u00e9pine, co-founder and president of the governing board. After several years working in the community, Selma observed that people with disabilities\u00a0experience higher rates of acts violence and discrimination compared to the general population and decided to start an organization that works specifically \u201cto defend rights and interests related to the elimination of violence and discrimination, empowerment through access to the labor market, social inclusion and citizen participation, as well as fair and equal access to health and social services\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since then, l&#8217;IN\u00c9\u00c9I-PSH has been hard at work offering a wide range of services and activities to achieve its mission. Here is a brief look at some of them:\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ineeipsh.org\/en\/service-interaidance\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The InterAidance service<\/a><\/strong> is a telephone support service for people with disabilities \u201cregardless of age, gender or ethnocultural origin\u201d seeking support and\/or accompaniment with a situation of violence and\/or discrimination.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ineeipsh.org\/en\/projets\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The C.A.F.\u00c9.S project<\/a> <\/strong>consists of offering workshops exploring a variety of themes, with the aim of better equipping people with disabilities \u201cto participate actively in inclusive and parity consultation tables, to better prepare for the administration of NPOs, and to sit on a board of directors.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/ineeipsh.org\/en\/raac\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Les Sentinelles du Garde-Manger (pantry sentries)<\/strong><\/a> is a service that refers people to food support resources in order to \u201cimprove the autonomy, food security and food safety of people in vulnerable situations, particularly people with disabilities\u201d.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>IN\u00c9\u00c9I-PSH is active in Montreal and throughout the province of Quebec.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text is-stacked-on-mobile\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1800\" height=\"1013\" src=\"https:\/\/aqeips.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/c0ab64c6-67a6-4cef-a160-9eae889107a0-1-1800x1013.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5458 size-full\" srcset=\"https:\/\/aqeips.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/c0ab64c6-67a6-4cef-a160-9eae889107a0-1-1800x1013.jpg 1800w, https:\/\/aqeips.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/c0ab64c6-67a6-4cef-a160-9eae889107a0-1-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/aqeips.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/c0ab64c6-67a6-4cef-a160-9eae889107a0-1-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/aqeips.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/c0ab64c6-67a6-4cef-a160-9eae889107a0-1-1536x865.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/aqeips.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/c0ab64c6-67a6-4cef-a160-9eae889107a0-1-2048x1153.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1800px) 100vw, 1800px\" \/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p>You can follow l&#8217;IN\u00c9\u00c9I-PSH&#8217;s activities on<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/ineeipsh.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Facebook<\/a><\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/ineeipsh\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Instagram<\/a> as well as on their <a href=\"https:\/\/ineeipsh.org\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>website<\/strong>.<\/a>&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Congratulations l\u2019IN\u00c9\u00c9I-PSH for all your hard work!
