{"id":3016,"date":"2023-12-20T14:33:33","date_gmt":"2023-12-20T19:33:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aqeips.org\/?page_id=3016"},"modified":"2025-09-30T12:48:05","modified_gmt":"2025-09-30T16:48:05","slug":"research-project-in-collaboration-with-uqam","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/aqeips.org\/en\/projects\/completed-projects\/research-project-in-collaboration-with-uqam\/","title":{"rendered":"Research project in collaboration with the SAC-UQAM"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wp-bootstrap-blocks-container container mb-2\">\r\n\t\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What services are offered to SWD in post-secondary establishments?<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>AQEIPS is currently working on a research project with the help of <strong>le Service aux collectivit\u00e9s de l\u2019UQAM (SAC), <\/strong>whose mandate is to provide students with opportunities to work with non-profit community organisations.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The goal of our project is to evaluate the services offered to <strong>students with disabilities (SWD)<\/strong> in all post-secondary establishments throughout the province of Qu\u00e9bec. The ultimate goal of the project is to create a guide of best practices when it comes to providing information and services to students with disabilities in post-secondary education.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the first part of the project, we created a rubric to evaluate the information available for SWD as well as the level of accessibility of each of Qu\u00e9bec\u2019s c\u00e9gep and university websites. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The preliminary results of the project (part 1) reveal significant gaps in digital accessibility and access to online information, an essential element for students with disabilities.
